College facilities include 28 classrooms with some designed for Education Support purposes, a music room, library, a specialist arts and crafts room, hard courts, a covered assembly area and a dental clinic.
A dedicated learning community for students with special needs is also a feature of the college. It includes three teaching areas opening out to a secured play area, a hydrotherapy pool and therapy gymnasium, sensory room, conference room, covered bus collection point, office space to accommodate staff and inter-agencies and an early childhood facility. The college has been specially designed to allow wheelchair access to all parts of the college.
John Butler Primary College works in partnership with a range of agencies to support student’s diverse needs. Students are able to access Occupational therapy, Psychologists, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and speech therapy.
Students are offered a range of opportunities tailored to their individual needs. Plans are constructed to provide students with a variety of effective learning opportunities that ensure an attainable level of success and progress. All curriculum areas are covered in the specialist programs and are adapted to the diverse needs of students.
